Mondays are the club's main club nights for all seniors and juniors and include a range of runs, sessions, occasional fun events plus a monthly handicap race. The Wednesday social runs are for developers and slower runners. The Wednesday sessions and Thursday runs are designed for moderate to fast runners.
Mondays
Formal club nights suitable for all abilities including juniors.
Details are circulated in the weekly "Weekahead" email.
Wednesday improvers runs
Runs in Seaton for anyone but particularly suitable for developers. Looping for faster runners; slower ones will not be left behind!
Wednesday sessions
Normally long reps (intervals from half Km to a mile), hills or beach. They are hard work but worth it!
Meeting in various places to start a warmup jog at 18:30, or ready to rock at 18:45.
On roads in Seaton and Axminster during GMT but mainly tracks around Colyton and Axminster during BST.
Theoretically suitable for runners of any ability since all but the hill sessions are out and back with all runners turning when the fastest reaches the end,
but anyone wanting to join these sessions should contact Garry first.
Location will depend upon who's up for a given session.
Thursdays
Hard hills around Beer, Branscombe and Seaton during autumn & winter months. Head torches are necessary for off-road runs on alternate weeks.
Spring and summer runs are mostly off-road around Beer and Branscombe. Occasional forays further afield. Not suitable for slower runners.
Fridays
Up to two miles along Seaton Esplanade. Designed to get absolute beginners to the standard required for the Wednesday improvers' runs. Not held every week. Contact Gill Day for details.
Long runs
Various members organise long runs at weekends when they're not racing. Details of runs which are moderately regular are below and you should contact the appropriate member for more details. If you would like to offer to lead another group then please contact a committee member.
