This is a multi-terrain 10K(ish) through some of the most beautiful scenery of East Devon. It is a run rather than a race although positions and times will be taken and recorded on the AVR website. There will be some marshals on the course, a water station at the half way point and cakes and hot and cold drinks afterwards. There is NO entry fee. Donations for the run and the food and drinks will go towards the new hall fund.
Runners must be 16 years of age.
There will also be a five-mile walk along most of the route starting at 10:00 and a 2½-mile fun run starting with the main run.
From Colyton: Leave Colyton in a northerly direction on the Northleigh Road. At Road Green junction, fork right (signposted Umborne 2). At 3 Sycamores junction, turn right (Umborne 1.25). At Lilylake junction, turn right ( Umborne .75). Keep straight on at the Easy Bridge junction and the hall is 200 yds on your left.
From Honiton: Take the A35 towards Axminster. As you descend the hill into Wilmington and as you enter the 40 mph zone, turn right (signposted Recycling Centre). In 400yds, turn left (Widworthy & Recycling Centre). In 1.5m at Homebush junction, fork left ( Umborne 1.75). In 1.5 miles at Pottlelake junction, turn left ( Umborne .25). The hall is 200yds on your right.
From Axminster: On the A35 towards Honiton, go through Kilmington. When you reach Taunton Cross, turn left (signposted Shute & Colyton),opposite Shute Garage. Go through Shute and after passing Shute Barton house on your left, turn right in 200yds towards Umborne. In about 1 mile, at Easy Bridge, turn right and the hall is 200yds on your left.
