Yarcombe Yomp

The final event in the East Devon Community Race Series.
Held under ARC rules, permit number 08/180.

A new race for 2008, almost all off-road. Alongside the River Yarty then a long climb up to a mast. Wooded footpaths along the top then a long, fast descent back to Yarcombe (like Dalwood). And repeat!

• Where: From Yarcombe village hall off the A30 west of Chard.
• Distance: 10 miles, two laps, mainly off-road. Single-lap 5m junior & fun run.
• Age limits: 17 for 10-miler; 16 for 5-miler.
• Entry fees: £6 seniors; £5 juniors; unaffiliated both £2 extra. £1 extra on the day.
• Prizes: 10-miler male & female first three overall/V40/V50/V60; 5-miler first U18 male and female.
• Nosh: Entries include homemade soup, rolls, cake and tea at hall.
• Facilities: Toilets and changing in hall. Limited parking so please share as much as possible.
